Noden Guitars is a small family run business, with repairers possessing more than 65 years of experience. We appreciate the passion musicians have for their instruments and it is one we share. We’ve recently relocated from our location on Denmark Street to our main Uxbridge workshop and whether you’re coming in for the first time, or are, as in some cases, our third generation of family customers, we look forward to welcoming you!

Graham Noden

The grand old man of the operation. Since starting as a guitar repairer in 1972, we estimate he has worked on or overseen the work on between 100,000 – 130,000 instruments. There isn’t a lot he hasn’t seen and quite possibly completely forgotten again over the years. If anyone’s ever told you your next big idea isn’t possible then get in touch. Not only has Graham probably already tried out the idea he can probably also explain why the plan can be improved by the inclusion of a set of P90s!

Outside of work hours, you’ll probably find Graham underneath a classic car, elbow deep in grease. Those big ends don’t fix themselves you know!

Lowell

Not only a top notch instrument repairer nor even simply devilishly handsome, Lowell is also our resident parts nerd. An encyclopaedic knowledge of which one, where from and how much, speaks not only of a commitment to detail, but also a lack of any social life to distract him!

If not busy guitar fettling, there’s a strong possibility you’ll find him lumbering artlessly around a field not quite managing to pass for something resembling a footballer.

4000 BCE

Ancient Sumerian texts prophesied that an ‘assembly of visionary artisans shall be brought forth upon the world and you shall know them for their furious chiselling and for they will eschew the daylight’.

3999 BCE – 1950 AD

Stuff happens.

1954

Graham Noden is born, legend would have it his first words were ‘nut heights are absolute!’

1973

Ziggy Stardust retires, Queen releases their debut album and a rather hairy young man enrols at the Royal College of Furniture to study instrument making. Under the watchful eye of luthiery wizard Stephen Delft, Graham builds his first guitar two weeks into the course.

1974

The first incarnation of what will become the repairing behemoth that is Noden Guitars is founded. Whilst working from a home built workshop, a loyal clientele of session musicians, wandering minstrels and outlaws, who would become the backbone of the business was built up.

1980

Our workshop takes form. Graham starts working with Malcolm and Fiona and between them, they will form the core repair team of Andy’s guitars.

1986

The repairs business transfers from Andy’s guitars and becomes Noden Guitars

2003

Lowell Joins the team as general errand boy
